RESUMO

Biological studies on the endocannabinoid system (ECS) have suggested that monoacylglycerol lipase (MAGL), an essential enzyme responsible for the hydrolysis of 2-arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG), is a novel target for developing antidepressants. A decrease of 2-AG levels in the hippocampus of the brain has been observed in depressive-like models induced by chronic stress. Herein, employing a structure-based approach, we designed and synthesized a new class of (piperazine-1-carbonyl) quinolin-2(1H)-one derivatives as potent, reversible and selective MAGL inhibitors. And detailed structure-activity relationships (SAR) studies were discussed. Compound 27 (IC50 = 10.3 nM) exhibited high bioavailability (92.7%) and 2-AG elevation effect in vivo. Additionally, compound 27 exerted rapid antidepressant effects caused by chronic restraint stress (CRS) and didn't show signs of addictive properties in the conditioned place preference (CPP) assays. Our study is the first to report that reversible MAGL inhibitors can treat chronic stress-induced depression effectively, which may provide a new potential therapeutic strategy for the discovery of an original class of safe, rapid antidepressant drugs.

Glutarate is a key monomer in polyester and polyamide production. The low efficiency of the current biosynthetic pathways hampers its production by microbial cell factories. Herein, through metabolic simulation, a lysine-overproducing E. coli strain Lys5 is engineered, achieving titer, yield, and productivity of 195.9 g/L, 0.67 g/g glucose, and 5.4 g/L·h, respectively. Subsequently, the pathway involving aromatic aldehyde synthase, monoamine oxidase, and aldehyde dehydrogenase (AMA pathway) is introduced into E. coli Lys5 to produce glutarate from glucose. To enhance the pathway's efficiency, rational mutagenesis on the aldehyde dehydrogenase is performed, resulting in the development of variant Mu5 with a 50-fold increase in catalytic efficiency. Finally, a glutarate tolerance gene cbpA is identified and genomically overexpressed to enhance glutarate productivity. With enzyme expression optimization, the glutarate titer, yield, and productivity of E. coli AMA06 reach 88.4 g/L, 0.42 g/g glucose, and 1.8 g/L·h, respectively. These findings hold implications for improving glutarate biosynthesis efficiency in microbial cell factories.

The efficacy of growth factor gene-modified stem cells in treating spinal cord injury (SCI) remains unclear. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of growth factor gene-modified stem cells in restoring motor function after SCI. Two reviewers searched four databases, including PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Scopus, to identify relevant records. Studies on rodents assessing the efficacy of transplanting growth factor gene-modified stem cells in restoring motor function after SCI were included. The results were reported using the standardized mean difference (SMD) with a 95% confidence interval (95% CI). Analyses showed that growth factor gene-modified stem cell transplantation improved motor function recovery in rodents with SCI compared to the untreated (SMD = 3.98, 95% CI 3.26-4.70, I2 = 86.8%, P < 0.0001) and stem cell (SMD = 2.53, 95% CI 1.93-3.13, I2 = 86.9%, P < 0.0001) groups. Using growth factor gene-modified neural stem/histone cells enhanced treatment efficacy. In addition, the effectiveness increased when viral vectors were employed for gene modification and high transplantation doses were administered during the subacute phase. Stem cells derived from the human umbilical cord exhibited an advantage in motor function recovery. However, the transplantation of growth factor gene-modified stem cells did not significantly improve motor function in male rodents (P = 0.136). Transplantation of growth factor gene-modified stem cells improved motor function in rodents after SCI, but claims of enhanced efficacy should be approached with caution. The safety of gene modification remains a significant concern, requiring additional efforts to enhance its clinical translatability.

OBJECTIVES: To observe the effect of Yiyuan moxibustion on urodynamics and the expressions of transient receptor potential vanilloid 4 (TRPV4), adenosine triphosphate (ATP), tyrosine protein kinase KIT (C-Kit) and adenosine triphosphate receptor P2X5 in bladder tissue of rats with detrusor reflex-free neurogenic bladder (NB) after sacral cord injury (SCI), so as to explore its mechanism in promoting the recovery of urination function of NB rats. METHODS: Female SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation, model, Yiyuan moxibustion, Yiyuan moxibustion+inhibitor (combination) and inhibitor groups, with 12 rats in each group. The model of detruser reflex-free NB after sacral SCI was established by modified Hassan Shaker spinal cord transection method. The behavioral score of Basso Beasttie Bresnahan (BBB) and urodynamic indexes were used to evaluate the model of rats after operation. Fifteen days after modeling, Yiyuan moxibustion was applied to "Shenque" (CV8) and "Guanyuan" (CV4) for 20 min, once daily for 14 days. Rats of the inhibitor and combination groups were given intravesical instillation of HC067047 (1 mL, 1 µmol/L, 30 min). After the interventions, urodynamics was used to evaluate the bladder function of rats. HE staining was used to observe the morphology of bladder tissue. ATP content in bladder tissue was detected by colorimetric method. The positive expression rates of C-Kit and their receptor P2X5 in bladder tissue were observed by immunofluorescence double labeling method, and TRPV4, C-Kit, and P2X5 protein expression levels in bladder tissue were detected by Western blot. RESULTS: Compared with the sham operation group, the maximum bladder capacity and bladder compliance of rats in the model group were increased (P<0.01), the leak point pressure, ATP content, the possitive expression rates of C-Kit and P2X5, and the protein expression levels of TRPV4, C-Kit, P2X5 in bladder tissue were decreased (P<0.01). In comparison with the model and combination groups, the Yiyuan moxibustion group showed a decrease in maximum bladder capacity and bladder compliance (P<0.01), an increase in leakage point pressure, ATP content, the possitive expression rates of C-Kit and P2X5, and TRPV4, C-Kit, and P2X5 protein expression levels (P<0.01, P<0.05);However, these indicators showed opposite trends in the inhibitor group (P<0.01, P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Yiyuan moxibustion can improve the urodynamics and bladder function in rats with bladder detrusor nonreflective after SCI, which may be related to its effect in activating the TRPV4 channel in bladder tissue, promoting the release of ATP from bladder epithelium, thus increasing the expression of bladder Cajal interstitial cells and their purinergic P2X5 receptors.

OBJECTIVE: To compare the clinical efficacy between electroacupuncture(EA) and moxibustion for neurogenic bladder (NB) after spinal cord injury (SCI). METHODS: One hundred and twenty patients with NB after SCI were randomly divided into an EA group, a moxibustion group, and an intermittent catheterization group, with 40 patients in each group. The patients in the intermittent catheterization group were treated with routine treatment and intermittent catheterization, while the patients in the EA group and the moxibustion group were treated with additional treatments of EA (discontinuous wave, with a frequency of 1.3-1.6 Hz, and intensity based on patient tolerance) and moxibustion, respectively. The acupoints used in both groups were Zhongji (CV 3) and Guanyuan (CV 4), bilateral Zusanli (ST 36), Yinlingquan (SP 9), and Baliao points. Each session lasted for 30 min, once daily, six times a week, for a total of six weeks.The maximum bladder capacity (MBC), residual urine vdume (RUV), detrusor pressure (Pdet) during the filling phase, bladder compliance (BC), maximum renal pelvis separation width of both kidneys, urine white blood cell count, TCM syndrome score, and World Health Organization quality of life assessment-BREF (WHOQOL-BREF) score were compared before and after treatment in the 3 groups. The number of patients in each group who achieved bladder functional balance was recorded, and the clinical efficacy was assessed after treatment. RESULTS: After treatment, the MBC, Pdet, BC, and WHOQOL-BREF scores in the EA group and the moxibustion group were increased (P<0.05), while the RUV, maximum renal pelvis separation width of both kidneys, urine white blood cell count, and TCM syndrome scores were decreased (P<0.05, P<0.01). In the intermittent catheterization group, MBC, RUV, maximum renal pelvis separation width of both kidneys, and urine white blood cell count were decreased (P<0.05), while BC and WHOQOL-BREF score were increased (P<0.05) after treatment. After treatment, the MBC, Pdet, BC, and WHOQOL-BREF scores in the EA group and the moxibustion group were higher than those in the intermittent catheterization group (P<0.05), while the RUV and TCM syndrome scores were lower than those in the intermittent catheterization group (P<0.05). Moreover, after treatment, the MBC and Pdet in the moxibustion group were higher than those in the EA group (P<0.05), while the RUV, maximum renal pelvis separation width of both kidneys, and TCM syndrome score in the EA group were lower than those in the moxibustion group (P<0.05). The number of patients who achieved bladder functional balance after treatment in the EA group and the moxibustion group was higher than that in the intermittent catheterization group (P<0.05). The cured and effective rate was 85.0% (34/40) in the EA group and 82.5% (33/40) in the moxibustion group, which were both higher than 65.0% (26/40) in the intermittent catheterization group (P<0.05), there was no significant difference between the EA group and the moxibustion group (P>0.05). CONCLUSION: EA and moxibustion could effectively improve the functional state of bladder in patients with NB after SCI. EA is more effective in reducing residual urine volume and excessive activity of the urethral sphincter, and relieving TCM syndromes, while moxibustion is more effective in increasing the pressure of the detrusor during the filling period and establishing the detrusor reflex.

Background: Capitulum mitella is a widely distributed and ecologically important stalked barnacle that settles extensively on rocky shores. This species contributes to the structural complexity of intertidal habitats and plays a critical role in the marine ecosystem. This study aimed to reveal the genetic diversity and population structure of C. mitella by analyzing the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase I (COI) gene. Methods: A 683bp fragment of the COI gene was sequenced from 390 individuals sampled from six localities in Fujian, China. Results: A total of 84 distinct haplotypes were identified through the analysis of 82 polymorphic sites, resulting in an average haplotype diversity (h) of 0.660 and nucleotide diversity (π) of 0.00182. Analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA) and pairwise F ST statistics showed no significant population structure. Neutrality tests and mismatch distributions provided evidence of recent population expansion for the species. Conclusions: We suggest that the species' high dispersal ability, and ocean currents coupled with limited physical barriers in the region, contribute to its current phylogeographic structure. These findings enhance our comprehension of the genetic diversity and population structure of C. mitella, providing valuable insights for future conservation efforts.

Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma is the sixth most common cancer in the world, and its incidence rate will continue to increase. Contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) is feasible as a rapid examination for early hepatocellular carcinoma diagnosis. However, considering the possible causes of false positives caused by ultrasound, its diagnostic value is still controversial. Therefore, the study conducted a meta-analysis to evaluate the application value of CEUS in the early diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods: The PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, Ovid Technologies (OVID), China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Chongqing VIP Information (VIP), and Wanfang databases were searched to retrieve articles on the use of CEUS for the early diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma. The literature quality assessment was performed using the Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies 2 (QUADAS-2) quality assessment tool. The meta-analysis was performed using STATA 17.0 to fit the bivariate mixed effects model, calculated sensitivity, specificity, positive likelihood ratio (PLR), negative likelihood ratio (NLR), diagnostic odds ratio (DOR), and corresponding 95% CI, summary receiver operating characteristic curves (SROC), area under the curve (AUC), and 95% confidence interval (CI). The publication bias of the included literature was evaluated using the DEEK funnel plot. Results: Ultimately, 9 articles, comprising 1,434 patients, were included in the meta-analysis. The heterogeneity test found that I2>50%, using a random effects model. The results of the meta-analysis showed that the CEUS had a combined sensitivity of 0.92 (95% CI: 0.86-0.95), a combined specificity of 0.93 (95% CI: 0.56-0.99), a combined PLR of 13.47 (95% CI: 1.51-120.46), a combined NLR of 0.09 (95% CI: 0.05-0.14), a combined DOR of 154.16 (95% CI: 15.93-1,492.02), a diagnostic score of 5.04 (95% CI: 2.77-7.31), and a combined AUC of 0.95 (95% CI: 0.93-0.97). The correlation coefficient of the threshold-effect analysis was 0.13 (P>0.05). The results of the regression analysis showed that the country of publication (P=0.14) and the size of the lesion nodules (P=0.46) were not sources of heterogeneity. Conclusions: Liver CEUS has an advantage in the early diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma, with high sensitivity and specificity, and has clinical application value.

Reline, which is composed of choline chloride (ChCl) and urea, is the first and most widely used deep eutectic solvent (DES) described by Abbot and co-workers. Due to the hygroscopic feature, traces of water are unavoidable, which significantly affect the physicochemical properties of reline. At present, the local structure of molecules and the impact from the presence of water are still the most significant questions in this field. Herein, reline and six aqueous dilutions with a controlled amount of water (from 3.2 to 50.0 wt %) were studied mainly by using a combination of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) techniques. According to 1D 35Cl NMR, 1D 15N NMR, and 2D 1H-15Cl heteronuclear Overhauser effect spectroscopy, we probed the interactions of urea···Cl- and Ch+···Cl- in pure reline, which gradually dissociated in the presence of water. Moreover, it was revealed that the dissociation rate altered when the water content reached 9.0 wt %, which is ascribed to the higher preference of hydration for Cl- ion compared to other species in the system. Furthermore, selected cross peaks in 1H-1H correlation spectroscopy spectra were analyzed. Accordingly, an enhanced correlation was observed for urea···Ch+ at a lower water fraction within 9.0 wt %. When the water content increased to 24.9 wt %, the water solvation of Ch+ and urea was also observed in COSY spectra. The interaction of H2O···Ch+ got continuously stronger when the water content increased from 24.9 to 50.0 wt %, while H2O···urea got enhanced when the water content reached 33.3 wt % and then diminished gradually from 33.3 to 50.0 wt %. 1H-1H nuclear Overhauser effect spectroscopy and 1H-1H rotating frame Overhauser effect spectroscopy experiments were also conducted for dynamics investigation. The τc value for the species in 9.0 wt % aqueous reline is very close to τccrit of 0.44 ns. For pure reline and the aqueous reline with a water fraction of less than 9.0 wt %, the τc value of the species is longer than 0.44 ns, while for the sample with water of 24.9 wt %, the τc value is much shorter than 0.44 ns. Based on our NMR study, we revealed that with the water amount increasing from 0 to 50.0 wt %, the species involved in the system behaved as the large molecules or molecules in viscous liquids transiting to the medium-sized molecules in nonviscous liquids and finally to small molecules in nonviscous liquids.

Cathepsin K (Cat K), mainly expressed by osteoclasts, plays an important role in bone resorption. Covalent Cat K inhibitors will show great potential in the future treatment of osteoporosis. It has been reported that the selectivity of covalent cathepsin K inhibitors was related to the drug's safety. The type of warhead has a crucial influence on the enzyme bioactivity and selectivity of covalent inhibitors. In order to develop novel covalent inhibitors with the selective new warhead, quantum chemical calculations were performed to estimate the reactivity of the nitrile warheads. Moreover, binding mode analysis between ligands and high homology Cat K, S and B revealed differences in non-covalent interactions. Novel covalent Cat K inhibitors containing 4-cyanopyrimidine warhead (11) were determined for the first time. Among them, compound 34 significantly inhibited Cat K (IC50 = 61.9 nM) with excellent selectivity compared to Cat S (>810-fold) and Cat B (>1620-fold), respectively. Binding mode analysis of Cat K-34 complex provided the basis for further optimization. Compound 34 could be a valuable lead compound for further research on safe and effective Cat K inhibitors.

Fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH), aserinehydrolase with significant role in thehydrolysis of endocannabinoids, is a promising therapeutic target for peripheral and central nervous system related disorders, including pain, neuroinflammation and depression. Employing a structure-based approach, a novel series of indole-2-carbonyl piperazine urea derivatives were designed and synthesized as FAAH inhibitors for the treatment of pain-depression comorbidity. Among them, compound 4i emerged as the most potent inhibitor (IC50 = 0.12 µM) with fine selectivity versus CES2, ABHD6, MAGL and the cannabinoid receptor, which also displayed superior metabolic stability in human liver microsome and an adequate pharmacokinetic profile in rodents. Treatment of depressed rats with 4i demonstrated favorable antidepressant-like effects not only by increasing the level of BDNF in the hippocampus but also by restraining the apoptosis of hippocampal neurons. Also, 4i effectively suppressed the LPS-induced neuroinflammation in vitro. Moreover, 4i exhibited potent analgesic activity, which indicated its promising therapeutical application for pain and depression. These meaningful results shed light on FAAH inhibitors as promising pain-depression comorbidity therapeutics.

The quantitative analysis of surface modified CNCs is an essential issue for the research and development of the relating materials. Herein, an improved quantitative ssNMR method of rQCPZRC was employed for analyzing CNCs materials. Firstly, CNCs and three PMMA/CNCs mixtures were chosen to evaluate the performance of rQCPZRC method. It was demonstrated that rQCPZRC method is capable to quantify the carbon ratios of CNCs and the components contents of CNCs/PMMA mixtures, with percentage errors on the order of 4%. Furthermore, rQCPZRC method was employed determining the surface grafting proportion of three CNCs-g-PMMA samples. The measured results showed high precision with RSD of 2.1%. Moreover, the experimental time of rQCPZRC was 5.5 h for each sample, notably shorter than the traditional ssNMR method of 146-498 h. Thus, our work recommends rQCPZRC as a tool for quantitative analysis of CNCs and their relating materials.

BACKGROUND: Globally, liver cancer is the most frequent fatal malignancy. The aim of the present study was to explore the effectiveness of ultrasound (US)-guided percutaneous transhepatic puncture in patients with low-level alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) liver cancer. METHODS: A total of 300 patients with primary liver cancer (PLC) (with AFP level ≤200 ng/mL and who underwent fine-needle aspiration) who were admitted to Central South University Xiangya School of Medicine Affiliated Haikou Hospital from January 2016 to December 2020 were selected to participate in the present study. Data, such as the expression of AFP and the biological characteristics of cells related to follow-up information, were retrospectively analyzed. RESULTS: Patients with AFP content <50 ng/mL accounted for 27% of total patients. Patients with tumors <20 mm accounted for 11% of total patients. There were 88 patients with 0-50 ng/mL AFP, 75 patients with 51-100 ng/mL AFP, 57 patients with 101-150 ng/mL AFP, and 83 patients with 200 ng/mL AFP. The sensitivity of detection was ≥90%, specificity was 100%, PPV was 100%, and NPV was ≥90%. In the present study, 34 patients with tumors <20 mm in size underwent US-guided percutaneous transhepatic puncture. The sensitivity of the treatment was 93.33%, 100% specificity, 100% PPV, and 64.35% NPV. The sensitivity of US-guided percutaneous transhepatic puncture was 97.65%, 100% specificity, 100% PPV, and 55.42% NPV in 266 patients with tumor size >20 mm. Implantation and metastasis accounted for 5% of complications, and gastrointestinal bleeding accounted for 7%. Among the adverse reactions, nausea and vomiting accounted for 15%, diarrhea accounted for 10%, and bone marrow suppression accounted for 8%. CONCLUSIONS: US-guided percutaneous transhepatic puncture has high sensitivity, high specificity, and is relatively safe, with a low complication rate in patients with low-level AFP liver cancer, and has certain clinical diagnostic value.

RESUMO

The COVID-19 virus has infected more than 38 million people and resulted in more than one million deaths worldwide as of October 14, 2020. By using the logistic regression model, we identified novel critical factors associated with COVID19 cases, death, and case fatality rates in 154 countries and in the 50 U.S. states. Among numerous factors associated with COVID-19 risk, economic inequality enhanced the risk of COVID-19 transmission. The per capita hospital beds correlated negatively with COVID-19 deaths. Blood types B and AB were protective factors for COVID-19 risk, while blood type A was a risk factor. The prevalence of HIV and influenza and pneumonia was associated with reduced COVID-19 risk. Increased intake of vegetables, edible oil, protein, vitamin D, and vitamin K was associated with reduced COVID-19 risk, while increased intake of alcohol was associated with increased COVID-19 risk. Other factors included age, sex, temperature, humidity, social distancing, smoking, health investment, urbanization level, and race. High temperature is a more compelling factor mitigating COVID-19 transmission than low temperature. Our comprehensive identification of the factors affecting COVID-19 transmission and fatality may provide new insights into the COVID-19 pandemic and advise effective strategies for preventing and migrating COVID-19 spread.

The severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has infected more than 29 million people and has caused more than 900,000 deaths worldwide as of September 14, 2020. The SARS-CoV-2 human cell receptor ACE2 has recently received extensive attention for its role in SARS-CoV-2 infection. Many studies have also explored the association between ACE2 and cancer. However, a systemic investigation into associations between ACE2 and oncogenic pathways, tumor progression, and clinical outcomes in pan-cancer remains lacking. Using cancer genomics datasets from the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) program, we performed computational analyses of associations between ACE2 expression and antitumor immunity, immunotherapy response, oncogenic pathways, tumor progression phenotypes, and clinical outcomes in 13 cancer cohorts. We found that ACE2 upregulation was associated with increased antitumor immune signatures and PD-L1 expression, and favorable anti-PD-1/PD-L1/CTLA-4 immunotherapy response. ACE2 expression levels inversely correlated with the activity of cell cycle, mismatch repair, TGF-ß, Wnt, VEGF, and Notch signaling pathways. Moreover, ACE2 expression levels had significant inverse correlations with tumor proliferation, stemness, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition. ACE2 upregulation was associated with favorable survival in pan-cancer and in multiple individual cancer types. These results suggest that ACE2 is a potential protective factor for cancer progression. Our data may provide potential clinical implications for treating cancer patients infected with SARS-CoV-2.

Intratumor heterogeneity (ITH) is a biomarker of tumor progression, metastasis, and immune evasion. Previous studies evaluated ITH mostly based on DNA alterations. Here, we developed a new algorithm (DEPTH) for quantifying ITH based on mRNA alterations in the tumor. DEPTH scores displayed significant correlations with ITH-associated features (genomic instability, tumor advancement, unfavorable prognosis, immunosuppression, and drug response). Compared to DNA-based ITH scores (EXPANDS, PhyloWGS, MATH, and ABSOLUTE), DEPTH scores had stronger correlations with antitumor immune signatures, cell proliferation, stemness, tumor advancement, survival prognosis, and drug response. Compared to two other mRNA-based ITH scores (tITH and sITH), DEPTH scores showed stronger and more consistent associations with genomic instability, unfavorable tumor phenotypes and clinical features, and drug response. We further validated the reliability and robustness of DEPTH in 50 other datasets. In conclusion, DEPTH may provide new insights into tumor biology and potential clinical implications for cancer prognosis and treatment.

Demand for antimicrobial packaging films is growing due to public attention to food safety. The structures and properties of gellan gum-guar gum blend films incorporated with nisin were investigated in this paper. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, rheological analyses showed intermolecular interactions among gellan gum, guar gum, and nisin. Furthermore, scanning electron microscopy and thermogravimetric analysis also indicated higher compatibility of the blend film components and better thermal stability than the gellan gum film. Tensile strength (TS), elongation at break (EAB) and water vapor permeability (WVP) of the blend films were enhanced with the addition of guar gum. The TS of the blend film reached 2.89 × 103  MPa, the EAB increased to 67.99%, and the WVP increased to 1.80 × 10-5  g/mm·s·Pa. Additionally, the film with nisin had antibacterial activity for Bacillus subtilis. The results demonstrated that a homogenous and smooth antimicrobial film with gellan gum, guar gum, and nisin could be a good option of antimicrobial packaging film for food preservation. PRACTICAL APPLICATION: This work investigated blend package films of gellan gum and guar gum incorporated with nisin. The results showed compatibility and thermal stability of the film were improved with adding a certain amount of guar gum, and also antibacterial activity for Bacillus subtilis of the blend film with nisin. Therefore, it can be used to the development of antimicrobial packaging films.

A two-stage culture (with controlled sucrose concentrations and temperatures) of Sphingomonas paucimobilis for gellan gum production has been previously investigated. Herein, the mechanism of a two-stage culture favoring gellan gum overproduction was revealed by analysing the cell-membrane permeability and the proteomics for gellan gum biosynthesis. The two-stage culture, resulted in 79.8% increased content of unsaturated fatty acids, and 3.95% increased ratio of unsaturated to saturated fatty acids in the cell membrane. Moreover, cell membrane permeability increased and thus further enhanced gellan gum biosynthesis. Proteomic analysis results indicated that 13 identified protein spots were involved in energy generation, glycogen biosynthesis, and glycolysis. These findings revealed that two-stage culture impellel carbon flux flow toward gellan gum biosynthesis.
